Calathea roseopicta "Dottie" is a gorgeous houseplant native to the tropical rainforests of South America. Distinguishable by, and sought after for its strikingly dark hues and contrasting leaf colors of deep green, dark purple, pale green, and bright pink, "Dottie" is a must-have for houseplant collectors. Its leaves are unique not only in color, but in rubbery texture and almost shiny exterior.
Calathea roseopicta "Dottie" is tolerable to low light/shade, but thrives best in bright, indirect sunlight. Do not place under direct sunlight or leaves will burn and lose vibrancy. Water often in small amounts, making sure not to let soil sit in water for extended periods of time or roots may be susceptible to rot. Maintain soil moistness and high humidity levels to keep plant healthy and happy!
